Hey Big Spender!

QUICK REVIEW :  The ruling party is rumoured to be broke. The ANC that is!

With etolls failing dismally in Gauteng, it seems like the bread basket is running on empty. Perhaps etolls were going to be a major contributor to the basket.

Moreover, the possibility of Numsa  forming a labour party will further fragment the core of the power base.

The EFF is steadily gaining popularity due to their "hands on" , "no nonsense" type approach. More and more of the electorate will vote EFF in the next election. Who can forget the recent debacle in parliament of "we want our money".

Eishkom sponsors the TNA Breakfast briefings to the tune of R43 million, this whilst asking us to cut back on usage whilst our President asks us to "tighten our belts".

Our 20 years of democracy has been riddled with corruption, sidelining, theft, promiscuity, poor planning and jobs for pals.

Finally, people on the ground, at grassroots level, are beginning to realize that the ANC is a party of self enrichment.

From being "freedom fighters" to being government, clearly a well needed metamorphosis of the conduct an ideology of the ANC failed to happen.

Do I OR Don't I evict Spider from my shower?

This morning I turned on the shower and began heartily humming a tune under my breath. A fly in the shower decided that he was not going to shower with me and flew smack bang into a spiders web that had been cleverly spun around the bars of the shower window.

Now I shower every morning and I was quite amazed how discreet this spider had been in making my shower his abode. I had not previously noticed the Web.

In a flash, Spider zoomed across his elaborate Web and got hold of Fly. With his long spindly legs he quickly  wound up Fly in some sort of cocoon. Images of the Anaconda movies flashed through my mind.

I stood transfixed, watching with bated breath as Spider casually threw Fly over his shoulder and promptly hauled him into the dark recess of the windows pane.

It was then that I noticed Spider2  concealed in the dark corner. Perhaps it was Mrs Spider because what followed next was truly amazing.

Spider presented his cocooned gift to the Missus and then took his stance again as watchman, waiting to spring upon the next unsuspecting fly.

I finished my shower, without song, I must add. But the big question remains!

Do I or Don't I evict Spider from my shower?

After all it is fly season and I don't fancy them much. Buzzing about spreading diseases.

As for spiders........mmmm... They do seem to be much more conscious of hygiene standards.

For now Spider and his Missus and the Web is still very much intact.

This  sign caught my attention on #Jozi M1 south freeway, just before the  Marlboro offramp. It definitely brought a chuckle to my heart.
